Hello World!!!

This weekend I had the unique opportunity to attend the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Tweet-Up in Atlanta, GA (read: “Black Hair Capitol of the World”) at a delicious little restaurant off of Ralph G. McGill Blvd called “Two Urban Licks”.  My camera again failed me when I got there (surprise surprise), but I did meet a few of the marketing executives and models (they were so tall and pretty!) and quite a few fellow naturals!  The marketing executives explained that their goal in creating this product was to bring Argan Oil into the ethnic hair care market at a reasonable price, and all of the products are priced somewhere between $1.50 and $6.99 (although prices are said to vary in places with a high cost of living, such as New York City).  The event itself was excellent, but I must say the products look and smell even better!  Best of all, we received swag bags filled with a full-sized sample of each of the products to take home and try!  How wonderful!  They must have known that I am a product junky 🙂

In an attempt to appear (somewhat) sophisticated, I waited until the valet brought my car back to me and I was safely down the road towards a natural hair meet-up (to be discussed later) to peek into the bag to find:

  • 1 Creme of Nature Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment

Creme of Nature's New Argan Oil Line

  • 1 Creme of Nature Argan Oil Replenishing Sheen Spray
  • 2 Creme of Nature Argan Oil Foaming Wrap Lotions
  • 2 Creme of Nature Argan Oil Gloss and Shine Polishers
  • 1 Creme of Nature Argan Oil Gloss and Shine Mist

So far, the only product I have tried is the foaming wrap lotion to set my relaxed ends for my braid n’ curl (my go to style), and I must say it far outdoes it’s sister product, LottaBody, which is also a Colomer product.  My ends were tightly curled, dried faster, and held up better in the heat and humidity (all of this while I was moving out of my dorm room, mind you) than they ever did with my (once) beloved LottaBody.  Furthermore, my hair was VERY touchable and soft.  It didn’t harden like it sometimes can with LottaBody (and yes, I do dilute my LottaBody before I use it on my hair).  In short, after only 1 try, the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Foaming Wrap Lotion is now one of my staple products.  It keeps my hair very soft and put a very high shine on it!  You guys, my hair was shining like a brand new car in the sunlight!  Perhaps my hair is under the influence… of Argan Oil?

In the coming weeks (especially while I am home on break), I will be reviewing the rest of the Creme of Nature Argan Oil products that I received in my swag bag .  Hopefully, both myself and you guys out there will find a new replacement for an old styling friend (RIP LottaBody, mid-1990s to 2010).

Peace, Love, and Creme of Nature (with Argan Oil)!
